Municipal Solid Waste Grants
Grant program
Local governments and special districts have the opportunity annually to receive grant funds from the East Texas Council of Governments funded by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). To support regional waste minimization efforts in ETCOG’s fourteen (14) county region, the solid waste program is accepts applications each September for its annual Municipal Solid Waste grant funds.

Cities & Counties

School Districts
Public schools and school districts must be within the 14-county region ETCOG serves and an ETCOG member.
Special Districts
Created in accordance with State law with the authority and responsibility for water quality protection or municipal solid waste management, also includes river authorities.

Local Enforcement
Projects which contribute to the prevention of illegal dumping.
