ETCOG Sponsors Disaster Debris Management Workshop
May 19, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The clearing, collection, and disposal of debris can be one of the highest expenses a jurisdiction will encounter following a disaster. If not done correctly, the affected communities may experience recovery delays and be held responsible for reimbursable expenses.
To aid jurisdictions in effectively and efficiently managing debris following a disaster, ETCOG is hosting a webinar on May 19th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., to discuss the following topics in disaster debris management:
- Disaster debris management 101
- State and Federal requirements and reimbursement under the FEMA Public Assistance Program
- Debris management when there is not a declared disaster
- Safety considerations
- Lessons learned and trends in debris management
