With the leadership and guidance of our Board, Executive Committee, and Advisory Committees, we are hard at work to serve East Texas and provide regional solutions. This report offers information and stats on how we served the community in the Fiscal Year 2024 (October 1 - September 30) through our service agencies. It has been our pleasure to serve East Texas!
$5M in grants were funded to East Texas jurisdictions to help build strong communities and aid development barriers
$41.8K in solid waste minimization grants were allocated to support cleanup, recycling, and illegal dumping enforcement

911 system, combined with allocating $3.1M in public safety grants to help keep East Texans safe
11.6K seniors received services through our Area Agency on Aging to meet the social, nutritional, educational, and logistic needs of residents
128,643 public transit trips were provided through GoBus to help East Texans get to where they need to go
89.3K job seekers and employers were served by Workforce Solutions East Texas, and $32.4M went to East Texas families to subsize their child care

ETCOG administers the Area Agency on Aging of East Texas, utilizing state and federal funding to help seniors with information and referral assistance, benefits counseling, legal assistance, care coordination and caregiver support. We also coordinate in-home support, legal awareness, nutrition and ombudsman services.
