The East Texas Council of Government is seeking applicants for a scholarship providing Illegal Dumping Education courses to East Texas jurisdictions.
Through grant funding provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, ETCOG partnered with Dr. John Ockels/Texas Illegal Dumping Resource Center (TIDRC) to provide these scholarships.
These scholarships give unlimited access to self-paced Illegal Dumping Enforcement online courses through August 31, 2021.
City and county code, police officers, deputies, constables, prosecutors, elected officials, and other local government staff who have a vested interest in illegal dumping issues within the ETCOG 14-county region are eligible.
Continuing Education Credits
TIDRC online classes vary in length and are all approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for code enforcement officers and registered sanitarians. If you want to receive T.C.O.L.E. credit for taking a particular class, verify with your Training Officer or Chief that your police agency will grant credits and directly update your T.C.O.L.E. training records, as it does in the case of a FEMA online class.
