ETCOG is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Blue Ribbon Medal of Excellence for Student Success. This honor, presented by Kilgore College during its graduation ceremonies, recognizes the exceptional partnerships formed between the college and community organizations dedicated to advancing student success and educational excellence.
A key aspect of ETCOG's success lies in its robust partnership with Kilgore College. Together, we have secured numerous grants, including a significant $2.5 million EDA grant that financed the Roy H. Laird Medical Center project and state funding to enhance the East Texas Police Academy Drive Track.
Additionally, we have collaborated on Justice Assistance Grants and High-Demand Job Training Grants and have assisted Kilgore College and area ISDs in pursuing grants from the Texas Workforce Commission.
ETCOG's unwavering support for Kilgore College underscores its dedication to fostering educational opportunities and workforce development in East Texas. This partnership not only benefits the students and alumni of Kilgore College but also strengthens the entire community by enhancing economic growth and development.
"As ETCOG continues to champion the region's development, this award is a testament to the power of partnership and the positive outcomes that arise when communities work together towards common goals. ETCOG is honored to receive this award and remains dedicated to its mission of enhancing the lives of East Texans through innovative solutions and collaborative efforts,” said ETCOG Executive Director David Cleveland.
