ETCOG is proud to announce the launch of COGWORKS, a new purchasing cooperative to assist local governments and agencies in reducing product and service purchase costs.
COGWORKS satisfies bid law requirements for formal competitive bid processes exceeding a $50,000 procurement threshold on behalf of participating members and, in doing so, enables members to meet purchasing needs from multi-award discount bids.
"We've been listening to our member's feedback and are excited to provide a solution saving you time and money," said ETCOG Executive Director David Cleveland. "Our main goal through COGWORKS is to ensure direct cost savings by increasing estimated quantity sales and expenditures to participating vendors who, in turn, may offer products and services at competitive discount pricing."
To get started, interested participants will need to complete and sign an Interlocal Purchasing Agreement with ETCOG. Some agencies may also require a board resolution. There is no cost to participate and no minimum spending requirements.
ETCOG has released two bid opportunities for vendors to offer discount bids to kick off the program launch. Vendors can now bid on Office Products, Furniture, Equipment, & Supplies, as well as Aerial Imagery, Drone Products, Equipment, & Misc. Services. Vendors are subject to an annual administration fee and a small fee per bid submission.
