ETCOG is proud to announce the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Planning and Reporting Team has selected GoBus' Operations Manager, Katey Pilgram, to serve as a member of the prestigious Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan Steering Committee.
The Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan Steering Committee is an integral body responsible for guiding and shaping the development of a comprehensive transit plan for the entire state. Its purpose is to foster collaboration between various stakeholders, including government agencies, transit operators, and community representatives, to ensure the effective implementation of multimodal transportation systems.
"I am honored to have been selected to serve on this important committee," said Katey. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to develop a transit plan that meets the needs of all Texans."
Pilgram has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of GoBus' goals and objectives, and a keen awareness of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the realm of multimodal transit. These qualities, combined with her extensive experience in overseeing GoBus' operations, make her an ideal candidate to represent rural transportation on this steering committee.
"Katey's expertise and insights will be invaluable to the committee," said ETCOG's Transportation Director, Vince Huerta. "I am confident that she will make a significant contribution to the development of sustainable, efficient, and accessible transportation systems that will benefit the community and beyond."
By participating in this influential committee, Pilgram will have the opportunity to contribute her expertise, exchange insights with other transportation professionals, and help shape the future of statewide transportation initiatives.
The Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan Steering Committee is scheduled to meet for the first time in August.
